  • Active college or trade school students enrolled either full-time or half-time based on the specifications of an accredited four-year college or university, junior college, community college, or trade school that the student is attending.
  • Active graduate students enrolled in an accredited graduate school program.
  • Recent college graduates who have graduated within three years from their graduation date.
  • College student internship participants, trade school apprenticeships, and medical student residencies now qualify with the following restrictions: Student has attended or will attend college classes again between May 1, 2017, and January 2, 2020.
  • High school seniors or recent high school graduates with a letter of intent to attend a qualifying university.

Proof Needed to Qualify for the Ford Drives U Program

The Ford Drives U Program requirements are simple. We only ask that you complete the following:

  • Confirm your student eligibility.
  • Check your email and print off your verified certificate that shows you've confirmed your Ford Drives U Program eligibility online and show it to a member of our team.
  • Bring additional proof-of-eligibility forms to our Ford dealership,2 such as the following:
  • Copy of your final transcript
  • Copy of your college/university diploma
  • Letter from college/university/trade school registrar's office stating conferred graduation date and type of degree earned
  • Current class schedule
  • Dated letter of intent confirming enrollment (valid for no more than 6 months)
